In 2014, Durham Community Foundation grant $70,515 to 18 Charities in the Region of Durham, directly impacting 56,488 residents and indirectly impacting 151,900 residents. Granting priorities included the following areas of focus:

2014 Ajax Community Fund Awards Grants Totaling over $21,000
Thanks to flow-through funding in 2014 by the Town of Ajax, 11 charities benefited and positively impacted 8,000 Ajax residents. The Town of Ajax also contributes to the Ajax Community Endowment Fund at Durham Community Foundation (DCF), ensuring a lasting legacy of giving and benefits to its residents.
We are grateful for our partnership with the Town of Ajax, and the expertise of the Ajax Community Fund Task Force co-chaired by John G. Smith and Don Terry. Other members include: Kate Bird, Jessie Haung, Ash Khan, Kathy McKay and Mitchell Simeon.

Durham Community Foundation was proud to champion Random Act of Kindness Day in the Region of Durham on Friday November 7, 2014.
Our goal was to distribute 5,000 RAK cards and 250 posters throughout the region. We are grateful to our presenting sponsor, The Pension Specialists for making this vision a reality. And to our supporters Fidelity Investments and Ruth and Gel Lafarga.
