Durham Community Foundation has several funds that support high school students pursuing their post secondary education goals.
The Augustin Family Scholarship for Dreamers
Application Link
This scholarship supports Black, Indigenous, and racialized youth leaders who are willing to dream big and pursuing post secondary education. Their leadership can be quiet or loud and demonstrated through actions that impact their families/friends, schools, and/or community.
The Mildred and Jeremiah Coughlan Scholarship

This scholarship supports high school students pursuing a post secondary education that need financial assistance, with strong academic achievement, engagement in extra-curricular activities and active involvement in the community.
The Terry James Volunteer Scholarship

This scholarship supports high school students pursuing a post secondary education whose commitment to community is exemplified by their leadership and volunteerism.
The True North Scholarship

This scholarship supports high school students pursuing a post secondary education who are taking their first step towards reaching their true north – not a fixed star in the sky, but their star, set right where they want it to be.

Bursaries

Durham Community Foundation offers several bursaries to elementary school students taking piano lessons.
Evelyn Burden Music Bursary
Application Link
This bursary is for students in grades 3 through 7 who require financial assistance to pursue their interest in playing the piano with a music teacher.
